Behind Sileni is a family culture launched in 1997 by medical entreprenur Graeme Avery and his winemaker friend Grant Edmonds. Supported by a handpicked team, they have dedicated themselves to building a wine brand that has its heart in the right place. Sustainability is fundamental, the Sileni winery is one of the few in world certified for sustainable business practices and ISO 14001 accredited.
At every harvest, the best of Hawke's Bay and Marlborough viticulture flows into Sileni wines, however we also bring to our winemaking a global perspective. The travel required to sell Sileni wines around the world does much more than find offshore customers, it grows our knowledge and experience of how different cultures enjoy wine, their local cuisine and sociability.
